Mr Brown was in Shenzhen as part of a tour in which he highlighted the co-operation between the
“Since Bookham’s involvement and commitment to this facility we have made rapid strides towards establishing world-class product manufacturing at the facility. It was a great honour to have the opportunity to show the Chancellor how the people of our two countries can co-operate so productively,” said Siak Chiew Lim, vice president of Asia-Pacific operations.
Bookham, a leading provider of optical components, modules and subsystems, obtained its facility in Shenzhen through its acquisition of New Focus, Inc. in March 2004. The plant in Shenzhen covers 250,000 square feet, including state of the art cleanrooms, and is a key assembly and test facility for the company.
