Intec doubles Caribbean and Latin America headquarters and staff
Press Release 23 February 2005 - Intec, a leading BSS/OSS software vendor for fixed, mobile and next-generation networks, has expanded its office in Sao Paulo, Brazil to provide new facilities for training and supporting its many customers in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region, as well as anticipating growth in the company following the acquisition of the Singl.eView customer billing business last year. The new office, located in the Conde Andrea Matarazzo building, sits 17 stories above Avenida Paulista, Sao Paulo's equivalent to Wall Street. The new office, double the size of the previous location, is now equipped with a training centre, enabling Intec to offer training for its entire suite of products to its new and existing customers from within the CALA region. Intec has also increased the size and staffing of its support centre to meet the rising demands of new business. The Sao Paulo based support centre offers 24x7 support to approximately 40 customers in more than 15 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, including Cable & Wireless, CANTV, Claro, Oi, Telecom Argentina, Telefonica, and Vivo. "Intec's expansion in Brazil demonstrates its continued investment in the business, which has helped make Intec one of the top 5 players in the OSS/BSS market worldwide," said Per Martell, Intec's CALA Regional Operations Director. "Strong financial performance and a positive outlook for 2005 and beyond have allowed Intec to double its regional staff and workspace to support new business and future growth in CALA." The Sao Paulo office is one of Intec's four Centres of Excellence, and is the regional headquarters for the Caribbean and Latin America. The vast majority of Intec's CALA staff is based in Sao Paulo.
