Wireless World Forum’s "US Mobile Seniors 2006" report on the US senior mobile market reveals that, by effectively targeting the over 50s market, the industry could see overall revenues rise by $8.94 billion – a growth of 7.7%.

In 2006, over 50s represent 30% of the American population and this figure is rising. Senior economic capability is also growing, with the over 50s market accounting for 50% of the nation’s discretionary spending. Despite this, mobile ownership in the senior age group is below national average as products and services fail to appeal to the older user.

"US Mobile Seniors 2006" offers detailed analysis and recommendations as to how to tap into this pool of potential subscribers and increase senior spending through the combination of the right services delivered in the right way. The report includes examples from companies around the world who have successfully targeted seniors with their mobile products and services.
