In this the most recent survey of Wi-Fi pricing in Asia, BroadGroup has surveyed 59 service providers in 15 countries.

Since the last survey in January 2005, the report suggests fundamental shifts are occurring when assessed holistically across the region including:

A shift to subscription based products
Significant increase in monthly subscription products
Downward trend in prices (outside of Australia and New Zealand which remain comparatively high)
Convergence of pricing

Convergence in pricing which the report analyses in detail is a critical issue for all hotspot service providers in the region.

The new report provides a narrative interpreting some of the key results of the survey, supported by tables and charts, and is combined with Excel spreadsheet tariff tables presented in a common format.
